We discussed efforts aimed at restoring the railway and road links that were actively used between our countries in the past. This was stated by Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu on his X page during the “Connectivity Agenda” platform meeting held in Brussels.

“During our meeting with Mr. Davit Khudatyan, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, we discussed the work being carried out to reopen the railway and road connections that were actively used between our countries in the past.

As we begin the necessary renovation works in our country, we also assessed the preparedness of the Armenian side and the stage reached in the tendering processes,” Uraloğlu wrote.

The restoration process of the Ani Bridge was also discussed during the meeting.

“We also discussed the restoration process of the historic Ani Bridge in Kars-Ani, located on the Silk Road, and reviewed the steps to restore one of the important traces of our shared history,” the minister noted.
